Teaching art

is more than just knowing how to paint and draw.

That's why we've created a structured training course for artists who want to become confident, skill-based art teachers.

Learn what to teach, how to teach it, and how to build real ability in your students...

Teaching art

is more than just painting and drawing.

You need to know how to create the most effective and successful projects
What supplies to use and how to set up your art room
How to attract students and retain them

And I admit, it can seem overwhelming..

Here's what nobody tells you as an artist:

Being good at art and knowing how to teach it are not the same thing.

So you do what most people do.
You pick a project.
You walk students through every step fully believing in the Step-by-Step Trap.
It looks great at the end.
And then the next lesson…
They look at you like they've never held a paintbrush before.
So you try a new project.

And the cycle repeats.

Or you don't start at all.
You keep thinking you'll figure it out when the time is right.
But it never quite feels right.
You're not stuck because you lack talent.
You're stuck because no one showed you what to teach or how to structure it.

Here's what's actually going on...

When you teach projects, students learn that project.

When you teach skills, they learn how to paint.

Big difference.

Projects give a result. Skills build independence.

And when your students have real skills, they stop waiting for you to tell them what to do next. They start making decisions on their own.

That's a different kind of teaching. The kind that makes you remember why you wanted to do this in the first place.

When you understand how skills build on each other..

you can plan a lesson in minutes instead of hours, you have a repeatable structure you can use every single week, and you stop second-guessing every decision before you even walk in the room.

YEP, I CAN PROBABLY GUESS…

You love art and may have dabbled in teaching here and there, or had the thought that maybe with so many people asking you to teach art maybe you should just do it.

But it all feels so overwhelming…

HI, I’M

Pessy Samson,

I started teaching art because I loved making it. Turns out those are not the same thing at all.

My students were frustrated. I was second-guessing every lesson. I spent hours googling "how to teach art" and got twelve different answers that somehow all contradicted each other.

So I did it the hard way. I broke every part of art down, tested it, tweaked it, tested it again, until I had a method that actually worked. Not just for one age group or one medium, but for any student, any age, any level.

That was over ten years ago. I'm still teaching. My students are still surprising their parents.

And now I teach the method to other teachers so they don't have to spend years figuring it out themselves.

I went from stressed-out, unconfident art teacher to loving my job and I am still at it, ten years later!

WHAT MAKES THIS course DIFFERENT

This isn't another collection of art projects.
Most art teaching advice gives you ideas.
A lesson here.
A worksheet there.
Something that looks good for one class.
But ideas don't solve the real problem.
Because the next time you walk into a class, you're back to asking:
"What should I teach now?"

Let me know if this sounds familiar:

  • Where do I start?
  • How in the world am I supposed to get others to be able to draw- is there a magic formula I don’t know of?
  • Maybe teaching art is only for those who are better at it then me and know what they are doing?
  • How many times can I search Pinterest for something to teach?
  • Why is everything ‘How to draw __’, can’t they teach me how to draw anything without it being specific?
  • Why can’t I find out how to teach teens or adults- does no one ever teach this age?

This works differently.
Instead of giving you more to choose from,
this gives you a way to decide.

A clear method for:

  • what to teach
  • how to teach it
  • and the order that actually builds skill

So you're not relying on inspiration…
You're working from structure.

OVER THE PAST DECADE:

I've broken down the core skills of drawing and painting

into a process that students can actually understand and apply. Not just for one age.
Not just for one medium.

But across:

  • children, teens, and adults
  • drawing, acrylics, and oils
  • beginners through to more advanced students

AND YOU'RE STARTING TO QUESTION:

What role do art teachers have anyways?

Not knowing how to teach art means that you are not spreading your unique style of art, resulting in possibly hundreds of students not discovering the beauty of being an artist and thinking that art is only for talented individuals.

The reality is:

Art isn’t only for the talented.

ANY ARTIST CAN TEACH ART WITH A PROCESS THAT WORKS.

A framework that teaches the fundamental skills any artist needs to draw and paint anything independently can be applied to any student with success.

Once a student has these methods, they feel confident and believe in their ability as an artist and you finally feel confident teaching any student because…

You know you have a process that works!

The reality is:

here's what that changes:

YOU STOP BEING THE TEACHER WHO RUNS PROJECTS.

YOU BECOME THE TEACHER WHO BUILDS ABILITY.

The one who can look at any student and know:
what they need
what comes next
and how to get them there
That's a different level of teaching.
And it's not a crowded space.

You'll have something they don't:

A method you can use — again and again — with any student, in any class.
That's what makes this different.

WHAT'S COVERED..

Everything you need to teach art properly — from your first class to fully booked

Here's what's inside.

What this looks like in real life.

Doria-

from starting fresh to fully booked classes

Doria joined before moving to a new community.

No students.
No local reputation.
No idea if it would work.

But she didn’t want to arrive guessing.

She wanted to know:
what to teach
how to structure it
and how to actually get started

So she learned the method first.

When she moved, she didn’t wait.

She offered classes.
They filled — and kept running.

She set up a simple studio space in her basement.
And instead of scrambling each week, she had a clear plan.

Her students didn’t just complete projects.

They learned:

  • how to draw from observation
  • how to understand what they were seeing
  • how to paint with real technique

By the end of the year, they held an exhibition.

From a place where she had started with nothing.

That’s what happens when you have structure before you start.

Chana-

  • — building something that fits real life
  • Chani started with afternoon classes.

    Simple.
    Manageable.
Something she could fit into her life.

    Then life changed.

    Some seasons were busy.
    Some quieter.
    Especially while raising her children.

    And instead of stopping…

    she adapted.

    Because she had the method.

She wasn’t starting over each time.
She knew what to teach and how to adjust it.

    That meant she could:

    • teach children after school
    • teach adults
    • run small classes or scale up when she had time

And when life was full, she could slow down — without losing everything she built.

This wasn’t just something she tried.

It became something she could rely on.

That’s what having a real method gives you.

I want results like this

Would you like to;

  • Know exactly how to teach any student how to paint and draw anything by themselves
  • Discover the joy of sharing your love of art when you know exactly how to do so
  • Feel confident and fulfilled seeing others succeed with art

Let’s work together to create a more confident, inspired and fulfilled art teacher in you!

How teaching will feel different:

Right now it might feel like:

 guessing what to teach
overthinking every lesson
hoping it works

AND YOU'RE STARTING TO QUESTION:

What role do art teachers have anyways?

Not knowing how to teach art means that you are not spreading your unique style of art, resulting in possibly hundreds of students not discovering the beauty of being an artist and thinking that art is only for talented individuals.

After this, it feels different.

You walk into class knowing exactly what you’re doing.

Imagine walking into your studio, smelling the fresh paint, and feeling a calm surge of confidence because your entire month of lessons is already planned—and you know your students will love every minute.

You’re not scrambling for ideas.

You stop second-guessing yourself mid-lesson.

Students start surprising you with what they can do.

And instead of hoping it works…
you can see that it does.

Four real sessions to take everything in this course and make it specific to you, your students, your schedule, your life.

Because I don't just want you to take this course.

I want you actually teaching this year.

But I hear you talking in your head…

Yep, you’re saying but can I really know how to teach anything if my artwork is not on such a high level,

YOU PROBABLY THINK...

Only artists who really know what they are doing are good art teachers. But is it true? After all, there are tons of art teachers out there each with their own unique way of teaching and

WHAT IF I TOLD YOU...

I have a guide that will get you teaching art on the highest level possible, in the FASTEST, EASIEST way... would you turn it down?

YOU'RE PROBABLY THINKING ONE OF THESE THINGS:

  • "I'm not ready yet."

The clarity comes before the confidence, not after. Most people wait until they feel ready. But feeling ready is usually what happens once you have a structure to lean on. You don't need to have everything figured out. You just need a clearer place to begin.

  • "I'll figure it out myself."

You can. Lots of people try. They just spend a lot longer Googling, guessing, and starting over than they ever planned to. This exists so you don't have to do it the hard way.

  • "I'm too busy right now."

There's never a perfect time. There's always something coming up. But this doesn't add to your workload — it replaces the hours you're already spending overthinking, searching for ideas, and reworking lessons that didn't quite land. A clear structure gives you time back.

"What if I fail in front of students?"

That fear usually comes from not having a method. When you know exactly what you're teaching and why it works, walking into a room full of students feels completely different. You're not hoping it lands. You know it will.

"I just need more ideas, not a course."

Ideas run out. Structure doesn't. This isn't a folder of lesson plans. It's a method you can use to build your own lessons for any student, any age, any medium — without ever running out.

There's never a perfect time to start. There's always something coming up, something that makes this week feel like the wrong week.

But the feeling of walking into a class and actually knowing what you're doing? Of watching a student get it, really get it, because of how you taught it? That's worth taking the leap for. Even in a full season. Even when the timing isn't perfect.

Let’s get started

I've created a step-by-step system, with tutorials to teach anything in art so students can draw and paint anything they like without you having to:

  • Second guess yourself (as you’ll know the methods to break down any part of art and make it accessible to any age)
  • Become overwhelmed (as I give over my ten years of experience and tell you exactly what to teach and how)
  • Think teaching will take too much of your time (as I give over my process for planning, streamlining and creating the most successful art lessons in the least possible amount of time)

And let’s be honest…

Deep down, you love art and would love to share your love of art with others. Think how great it would be to be able to give a child the confidence to look at an object in front of them and know exactly how to draw it with accuracy all by themselves?

Or have a child paint a landscape in acrylics or oils and take it home to be hanged up on their dining room wall, to be admired by all that see it?

YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO DRASTICALLY TRANSFORM A CHILD, TEEN, OR ADULT’S LIFE BY SHOWING THEM WHAT’S POSSIBLE.

STOP thinking teaching art is too hard and see how enjoyable, easy, and rewarding it can be when you know exactly how to do so without a doubt or overwhelm.

WHY NOW

The #1 mistake frustrated art teachers keep making is...

The teaching dream that keeps getting postponed

You could have another year of “I’ll start when things calm down.”
Another “maybe next semester.”

And the thing you actually want to do?

Still sitting in the background. Waiting.

The exhaustion of winging it

Another lesson pulled together last minute.
Another class that felt messy.

Students copying beautifully…
but not really learning.

And that quiet question at the end of it:

“Am I actually cut out for this?”

The money left on the table

Another year of undercharging or losing out on a great income.
Because you’re not quite confident enough to charge more.

Another year of this feeling like something you try…
not something you can rely on.

The slow confidence drain

The longer you go without a clear method,
the easier it gets to think the problem is you.

That you’re not a natural teacher.
That maybe this isn’t for you.

(It is. You just don’t have the structure yet.)

The students you haven’t reached

Students sitting in art classes, finishing projects…
but never really learning how to draw or paint.

Students who start to believe they’re “not talented” —
when really, they were never taught properly.

That’s what gets missed.

You can keep trying to figure this out as you go.

Or you can start with a structure that works.

with Let's Teach Art with Confidence:

  • You'll walk  into a class and knowing exactly what you're doing.
  • Watch your students improve because of how you teach.
  • Feel confident instead of second-guessing every step and know you're guiding hundreds of students in discovering the beauty of being an artist.

Turn your passion into a legacy with a method that actually works

I'm ready — let's do this

THE

Let’s teach art
with Confidence

 course

is built on one promise: that you walk away knowing exactly what to teach, how to teach it, and how to make it work for real students in the real world.

Not just in theory. In your actual classes, with your actual students, on your actual schedule.

It'll make you the kind of teacher students remember.

You'll have a method that works for any age, any level, any medium. You'll plan lessons in minutes instead of hours. You'll build real skills in your students, not just pretty projects and they'll keep coming back because of it.

That's how you charge your value.

That's how you build a real income from something you love.

And that's what this course is built to give you.

The only question is whether you start now — or keep putting it off.

Yes! I’m Ready to Teach Art with Confidence.
